Nikodem is a vast and colorful world, where wonder is met with magic. Where Dreams are not just merry fantasies that dance away when the sun comes up. Nightmares no longer linger just beneath your bed. They are, in fact, real.

Dreams and Nightmares are gifted individuals with power and purpose. And though the past dictates they should loathe each other's very existence, they have settled upon a rocky peace within the glorious Great City. For a long while, the Dreams settled comfortably among the soaring skyscrapers and the world was normal, almost blissful.

And then the President came to power. He has no name or face and no one knows where he came from. Only that wretched Decrees were sent out, suddenly suppressing Dreams unjustly. The President cultivated a fighting force of his own, comprised solely of Nightmares to protect him and his unknown agenda. The Dreams and Humans are planning rebellion with the wild and untamed Ashoka Gang, rising up to meet old enemies.

The world is shifting and sides must be drawn. But not everyone is keen to fight, such as the refugees of the Chanda Desert or the eccentric actors from the carnival. This war is full of intrigue and mystery and the sides are not as clear as they appear.
