Perhaps he needed something of a little break. Perhaps he needed a... slightly different perspective on things, most prominently of all being his life. Years, decades, over a century he had guarded over Chanda Desert as its Knight, ever present, loyal, and unwavering... so far as his duties demanded. The place could do without him for a day or so, and thus, for whatever elsewise reason, he was here. The Great City, that which held the conflicts and darkness hovering over it that so many escaped to Chanda from.
What to do from there, though? That was the real question, particularly as it pertained to one who'd never before visited the city proper. A few settlements or towns here and there before he'd set his roots in Chanda, but never such a place as this. As such, he hadn't a clue where to go, nor least of all how to get there even if he did know such a thing. That was... a problem, of sorts, but not a large one. All he needed to know was how to get back out, which would be no issue after wandering a little; more than that was just a matter of whatever he happened upon on his little walk.
Something... curious, as it turned out.
There were games. There was noise. There was, all considered, quite a bit to see in the place that, for the most part, his finely-tuned vulpine ears had led him to. Interesting was one way to put it, but... ultimately the fact remained that, like many things around the city, the old Knight hadn't a clue what to do with any of it. A problem that would have to be fixed, at least at some point. Ah, but not that he appeared as the Knight, of course; that would be an even larger problem, would it not? No, he was just a typical wandering Dream, or perhaps Nightmare; but one of many, nothing by any means special except perhaps the lack of other vulpines in the general vicinity. Clad merely in a black hooded vest and matching pants that fairly matched the black of his fur, he was indeed nothing particularly special, and it was fine that way. It was just a day for that; a place for that, more to the point.
So the question still remained, then, where to begin?
Well, he could always head over toward the games for lack of anything else he could come up with at the moment... perhaps something would come up to quell at least some of his confusion and curiosity in regards to this area on the whole.
Perhaps.
