I get the general archtypes of each of the factions. But was I was curious of specific details as far as what is expected of members of each faction. The overall idea is clear (Falvadin works for the government/president, Ashoka fights them, Deserters just wanna do their thing and probably have to fight for it occasionally, although I'm just extrapolating on that last one). Obviously the exact nature will be dictated by how the plot and story goes, but a general idea of specific duties would be appreciated.

Hmmm, okay. Let's see...
Each faction represents an alignment in its most basic form. Falvadin would be the "bad guys", Ashoka Gang the "good guys", and Chanda Desert "neutral". Basically. As we both know, those in each of these factions does not necessarily hold the same beliefs as their leaders. These alignments are subject to change based on characters and future plots.
The exact duties of the factions vary, as well.
Falvadin members are expected to enforce the President's decrees. They are the "police" of the Great City. If a Dream is blatantly disregarding a decree in a thread, a Falvadin member has every right to enforce the laws in whatever way they see fit. Falvadin members are trying to suppress the rebellion, but each member can interpret the President's intentions differently. Some may try to eradicate all Dreams, some may stick to only enforcing the laws. That is up for you to decide. After all, the President has been purposefully vague.
Ashoka Gang members are against the Falvadin and the President. They are expected to start the rebellion, ignore the decrees, and try to stop the Falvadin. They are (primarily) from the slums and already pretty downtrodden to begin with--the decrees are simply the last straw. They will more than likely try to infiltrate the Great City and stop the President. I guess their main goal would be to kill the President at any cost. This also depends on future members and where they decide to go with this, but they are the main resisters to the Presidential decrees.
Chanda Desert is basically off on their own. They don't really care what is going on in the Great City. They might know what's happening, but they only care for their own people, which are a mixed bunch. They will protect their city and their rights with everything they can, but for now, those rights have yet to be tested. Chanda Desert is a home for those fleeing the Great City and they harbor those refugees fiercely. They will protect them, as well. Again, mostly neutral and doesn't play quite as big a role... yet. Their roles are extremely dependent on their players, because their part in the plot has been left open.
Does this answer your question or does this need further explanation?

Nope, that's all. As with the others just a little bit of clarification was all I needed.
