pinky-su
Age:
8, though she appears to be in her late teens.
Species:
Dream
Alignment:
The Ashoka Gang
Occupation:
None
Canon?
No
Position:
-
Appearance:
There appears to be a prevalance of pink and it happens to be her signature color, present from her features to her clothes. Pinky-su would be the first to tell you that pink is the most "wonderfulest" color "evar" and happily demonstrate the fact by gesturing to her pink hair or eyes or lip gloss caked lips. Pinky-su, for all intents and purposes, is very pink.
Of course, one cannot help but notice her shiny, gossamer hair. It falls to the small of her back in straight, glimmering waves. Oh yes, it's PINK! From the sloping bangs to the evenly cut ends, every inch is a searing, blaring magenta. Pinky adores fixing her hair in various fashions: ponytails, a simple bun, wearing it loose and free... she hardly sports the same fashion twice! The only constants are the bangs fluttering above wide, brimming eyes. They frame her heart-shaped face in an adoringpinkcurtain.
Her face is composed of small, petite features. Pinky is very cute, in the sort of alluring way of a child, with eyes that are too wide and an oblivious smile always in place. She has a button nose and soft cheeks, her jaw rounded and small. Her frame is tiny, as she only hovers around five feet. Besides her obvious love for the color pink, her tiny stature is often what people notice next, confusing her for a small child (her personality, of course, does not help).
Pinky-su also has a love for fashion. She is always donned in the latest styles, though it is admittedly always washed in the color pink. Dower suits are transformed into pastel wonders! Bows, lace, jewels, buttons, and flowers are not uncommon features of her clothing. Pinky always has a neat appearance, despite her erratic attitude. Her clothes are pretty, modest, and clean, her shoes sparkling as much as her hair! Pinky muses that she wants to be seen as a beautiful princess, as if the notion were a far-off memory.
Face Claim:
Cure Dream from Yes! Pretty Cure 5
Personality:
Pinky-su is the embodiment of a Dream, the very assumptions everyone makes: overly optimistic, cheery, honest, blindly loyal. Pinky takes her responsibility as a Dream very seriously. In fact, her duty to protect the Humans is what drives her... and what ultimately breaks her.
Pinky-su is not a forgettable person. She does not blend in. She is loud with an obnoxious baby voice, her protests clear and determined. Pinky has an overbearing presence, her happiness as tangible as sugar and incredibly annoying. Her unnerving optimism can make others squirm--nothing gets her down! The most depressing of occasions can always be seen with a silver lining, a glimmer of light in the deepest darkness. She has a smile on her face even when her heart is breaking.
Her determination to protect is legendary. While her loyalties lie with her Human, she does not stop there: Pinky-su wants to protect everyone. Despite her small, childish appearance she can be quite motherly. She harbors the belief that everyone is worth saving, that everyone can be saved. Even when faced against the most twisted of Nightmares she can discern the good in them with uncanny intuition. For all her assumed stupidity, Pinky can see a person for who they truly are beneath their stone-cold facades.
She is almost unbelievably naive and, frankly, a little dull. Sarcasm is completely foreign to her. Her attitude is like a child's: eager to please, laughable, deeply curious, and unknowing to the intricacies of the world. Pinky views things in black and white. Someone is good or they are not. There are children and there are adults, but nothing between these two extremes. Pinky hovers wholly in the light and goodness, her excitable nature never dampened by the impending decrees from the President. She is hopeful and naive, a little lost, but extremely (if not stupidly) good.
Weapon:
A rod that appears in a cloud of pink glitter whenever she needs it! It's, of course, pink with a clear, blinking heart on the top. The sparkly heart has no apparent use, except to blink dismally, an almost laughable weapon that makes for a good, blunt whack to the head.
Abilities:
- pretty in pink! With a snap of her fingers, Pinky-su can change her outfit and hairstyle in a puff of smoke. She can copy any outfit she sees or imagines. She insists this has some kind of use... but no one can figure out what it is, besides making her wardrobe incredibly vast and varied. [Cooldown: 2 posts]
- cure, level 1! Heals very mild cuts, scratches, and bruises. [Cooldown: 2 posts]
- revive! Brings someone back from unconsciousness (not death). [Cooldown: 4 posts]
- protect, level 1! A slight barrier surrounds her or another party member (giving them a slightly pink sheen to their skin) and lends them a little more protection from attacks, cutting down only a third of normal damage received. Pinky can only use this on one person at a time. [Cooldown: 4 posts] [Lasts: 2 posts]
- barrier, level 1! Pinky can pull up a pink shield to guard herself from one attack. This shield can be thrown to shield someone other than herself, but only for a single attack before it dissipates into nothingness. [Cooldown: 3 posts] [Lasts: Blocks one attack]
History:
It all began with a little girl named Marie.
Pinky-su woke with a start, the world new and strange around her. She didn't know much about herself, about the world that surrounded her. That she had been the dream that little girls gushed about--princesses and white castles and wonder. All of these precious musings created Pinky-su and brought her into reality. And the first thing she did was find her partner. Her feet seemed to know what her mind did not, her heart soaring when she came upon a little girl playing in her yard. Pinky knew this little girl, who was no older than two, was her partner. They made a pact.
But it was not a happily ever after.
When Marie was six, she became ill. And it as not the kind of illness any amount of healing could wash away. She was hospitalized and Pinky-su went with Marie, her constant companion. Pinky didn't understand what the doctors said as they marched into the bleached white room or why Marie's parents were constantly crying. She did not know why the medicine seemed to make Marie more sick, vomiting what little lunch she ate or why her hair began to fall out in clumps. She only knew about Marie's smiles or that they played dress-up or how Pinky would play games with all the children in the hospital, a bright light in an otherwise dismal place.
Pinky didn't understand what death meant or what surgery was or why there was medicine. She couldn't comprehend that Marie was sick or even feel the palpable sadness that clung to every crevice in the hospital. All Pinky knew was that Marie was her best friend. The world was that simple.
Then, Marie died.
They put a white sheet over her face and Pinky wonered why aloud, scrabbling at the sheet in a desperate attempt to get it off. She wanted to see Marie's face! She couldn't breathe like that! And as they wheeled her best friend away Pinky followed, until security swept her off her feet and Pinky yelled and she fought, but she was useless. Her best friend was gone and she felt... empty.
Pinky-su waited outside for Marie's parents.
They never came back for her.
Pinky did not understand death. Marie was playing a game, surely! It must be an elaborate game, one they had never played before! And suddenly, the pink-haired girl laughed and raced off, certain that this was a game of hide-and-seek! All she had to was find Marie and they could have the happily ever after Marie had always wanted.
But Pinky doesn't realize she needs to find her own happily ever after.
